James Harrelson lives near Portland, OR. He likes strong coffee and reading the flaps of books to choose the best. Most days he is in the creative process to photograph a story about those around him. He has a few thoughts about this approach:
"Allow me to scrape about and around the Pacific Northwest to find YOUR experiences that you can take home in a photo. Photography can be leverage enough for sharing that experience with others. I am always thankful for photography in our lifetime. It is a beautiful device when we poke at pictures on a phone or a frame and make conversation.
Photography helps us pay attention to the air between us, the light & shadows, the important words. The impression of a good picture should warm us with rapture... and also brighten the poor corner of a room. I would attempt that."
James is from Atlanta, GA where he often misses a bowl of homemade peach ice cream. He has practiced professional photography since 2012.
